Well 28th November meant Day of the Undead at Leicesters Phoenix Square. DoU is an annual event that keeps on growing. This year brought 12 hours of zombie movies, classics, new releases, local independant films and short films from the genre, as well as authors and make up artists. Goodie bags were handed out, T-shirts were won and fabulous prizes were raffled. All in all a fantastic way to spend a day and indulge in some flesh eating fun.
I headed down and watched the first movie of the day the original Dawn of the Dead and then had the pleasure of gathering a groups together to discuss the appeal, history and definition of zombies as well as swapping survival tips.

I met with Alison Dunne who is Leicester city council’s book doctor. She was a delight and we talked lots, all about books and reading and books. Enjoy.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Mark for coffee and a chat. He is a great interviewee happily rambling in any direction offered.
There is quite a bit of background noise because Blend is very popular and it was a saturday but this is well worth a listen. Enjoy.

Polly is one of the orgnisers behind the Short Fuse live fiction nights now gathering a good following in Leicester and Brighton. The events have a delightful relaxed atmosphere and are a great showcase for writers of short fiction.

Well, I went to London and met Andrew Mills to interview him about his book Hell Bent on Success and to hang out with him and our mutual friend. There was some interviewing, a lot of silliness and fun and it’s worth remembering that we have a well established history of mockery. Enjoy.
